Ronaldo’s future at Juventus looks unclear after his spectacular fallout with boss Maurizio Sarri.

Manchester United to land Cristiano Ronaldo transfer windfall at end of the season after his move to Juventus last

  • Sarri spat could see Ronaldo quit Juve for sensational United return
  • Ronaldo’s transfer to Man Utd will be a plus to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Cristiano Ronaldo could be set to return to Man Utd if he fails to win the Champions League at Juventus this season – but in the meantime, a clause in the Portuguese superstar’s Juventus contract means the Red Devils are set to earn £1m before the end of the campaign.

Manchester United are set to receive £850,000 from Juventus thanks to their £99million Cristiano Ronaldo transfer last year.

Manchester United will receive almost £1million in a payment from Juventus next summer because of Cristiano Ronaldo.

That’s according to a report in the Sun.

The payment will be made as a ‘solidarity payment’ stemming from United’s deal to sign Ronaldo in 2003.

United signed the Portuguese sensation as a teenager from Sporting CP, before he left six years later for Real Madrid.

Speaking on television program “Chiringuito De Jugones’, broadcast on TV channel La Sexta, Spanish panellist Eduardo Inda made the claim that Ronaldo, 34, will ditch Juventus if they fail to win this season’s Champions League.

However, due to FIFA rules, solidarity payments are made to teams who have nurtured players before the age of 23.

And it’s been said that the Portuguese superstar could end up back at Old Trafford.

Because United brought Ronaldo to Old Trafford at 18, Juventus have to pay them the fees, and it is believed that it was inserted into one of his original transfer agreements.

Juventus’ financial records were recently published, and the one-off payment to United was listed, though it is unknown how much they have paid in the past.

The payment will mean United have a small boost ahead of the January transfer window, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer preparing to improve his squad.
