— “Your Pastor Is Not God, He Might Be Anointed, So Are You” — Singer Simi advises Nigerians

Following the widespread revolution in the Christianity in Nigeria, Sensational singer, Simi has lent her voice and further disclosed in her tweets that Pastors shouldn’t be overrated.

According to Simi, Christians shouldn’t be bullied into submitting out of fear to a God of love. Simi concluded her tweets by disclosing that human beings are not infallible, and she has seen a lot of people make OBVIOUSLY stupid, life-changing decisions because “pastor said”.

Her tweets reads;

Guys, your pastor is not God. God has given you the power to communicate with him directly. He’s ur Father! Don’t let any pastor bully you into submitting out of fear to a God of love. Your pastor ‘might be’ annointed – but so are you!

Seen a lot of people make OBVIOUSLY stupid, life-changing decisions because “pastor said”. Some of these people, very close to me. We can’t leave our lives and choices in the hands of ministers, when God has empowered us as.

The genuine ones are teachers and spiritual leaders. They can help us learn and even become better Christians, but you should never idolize ur pastor. In God’s eyes, you are no less. Plus they are human beings and not infallible.

This is coming after a video trending on the internet at the moment, showed the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) General Overseer Pastor E. A. Adeboye addressing the paying of tithe.

Speaking to the pastors in the congregation, Adeboye said he had an instruction for them.

He advised pastors of the church in attendance to warn their parishioners about the danger of ignoring thithing.

“I want to give every one of you pastors an opportunity to repent tonight.

“And then to go back, immediately after this convention, to restitute your ways with your congregation.

“Make it clear to them…Anyone who is not paying his tithe is not going to heaven, full stop”, he said.
