David Beckham who retired from football in 2013 at the grand old age of 38 hasn’t stopped making a cool one-milli a month since then. And it’s all thanks to his image rights company, Footwork Productions Ltd, which reportedly earns him a massive £35,000 per day. Yep, he earns your year’s salary in a single day. Like it’s no big deal.
According to The Sun newspaper, the now-42-year-old bagged himself a casual £12.7 million last year due to his deals with H&M, Adidas and Haig Club Whisky. And don’t even get us started on his annual earnings for the last five years: £45 million, guys. £45 million.
But for many of us, retirement is a far-off fantasy that hovers further and further from our grasp as each day passes, so much so that we’ll probably all be working until we’re octogenarians with bones made mostly of dust.
Well, not David because he is devilishly handsome, has a beautiful family and a large collection of cool motorbikes to ride around the world on, but he also has the post-retirement package of our dreams.
